Treasure

A treasure of gold or jewels galore
can leave us wanting more and more.
It doesn’t give us satisfaction
instead we are driven to distraction.
But the treasure we have is different indeed,
from storing and keeping we have all been freed.
The only way to get it to stay
is to give it with love, abundantly, away.
And as we do it spreads and grows
within each heart and life that knows.
That God has given himself to man,
a treasure that will forever expand.
