The Way

Ours is the victory through Him won,
ours is the peace now the battle’s done.
Though self-denying is the way,
His strength and courage are ours each day.
With joy and gladness we perceive
that as we give, so we receive.
Steadfast and sure He leads us on
to the place where He has gone.
With quiet serenity and complete assurance
He walks behind, beside, before us.
Never failing to guide and lead,
He willingly supplies our every need.
To test our faith and make us sure
He leads us all through many a door.
But whatever the valley or mountain top,
His love for us will never stop.
For with God on earth and in heaven too,
man has no need to feel lonely or blue.
So with thanks and praise begin each day,
and walk beside Him, He is the way.
