The Sea

Oh the majesty of the sea,
so vast and deep, untamed and free,
ceaselessly moving to and fro,
tides continually on the go,
sometimes raging like a lion
fiercely, with a will of iron,
at others gentle as a lamb
nestling softly on sun-kissed sands.
Silently within it’s still deep
a different world it gently keeps,
still giving to man even so
with constant endless steady flow.
Strength greater than any can stand
wearing away the edge of land,
mightier force than man ever knows,
unbridled, unharnessed it flows.
