The Cross

Lean back on the cross, lean back, receive
the gift given free our Lord achieved.

At a cost so great to one so pure,
to make humanity’s future sure.

In fulfilling needs to make men whole,
making mankind sons of God his goal.

As each self dies and receives new birth,
his resurrection is ours on earth.

In thanking him for all he has done,
we long for the same for everyone.

With willing hearts the world we then greet,
showing his beauty to all those we meet.
