Loving Friends

With so many loving friends
our truly thankful hearts
explain with difficulty
all that such love imparts.
Words simply fail to express
all we seek to convey,
when given a gift so rare
on our very special day.
The memory of that scene
of all those standing there,
such thoughtful preparation,
hearts filled with love, laid bare.
Joyful anticipation
on friends faces serene
will stay with us forever,
a truly beautiful scene.
Only the Lord truly knows
all within both our hearts,
the love and gratitude felt
to each of you who took part.
