Herald

Once upon a Christmas
in a far land, long ago,
there came a babe to Bethlehem
in a manger, bare and low.
He paved the way for thousands
to follow him through the years,
with love and his forgiveness
conquering all our fears.
Each one in turn is given
a new and spiritual birth,
to herald in God’s kingdom
he brought from heaven to earth.
With daily opportunities
to prove our love for him,
he constantly sustains us
with truth and light within.
Let’s praise him for his goodness,
his love which never dims,
and then reach out and love
the next one, just for him.
