He’s coming, he’s coming,
he will soon be here.
are we ready and waiting,
fully prepared?
The time is approaching
is here, even now
when he will be present
and we in turn bow
in awe and wonderment
at so great a King
becoming a baby,
so little a thing.
A gift, that we find
as we reach out in love
simply grows and grows,
blessed from heaven above,
so let us be ready,
prepared, even now
to fully receive him,
God’s free gift of love.
In the still silence He calls us
To make us more fully aware,
Of His presence all around us,
Within, beyond, everywhere.
Of His blessings showered upon us
There are none we are meant to store.
But to share with one another
In a myriad of ways or more.
As we look at all of His children
That cover the face of the earth,
We realize it is His love
That gives us our infinite worth
As we praise Him for His goodness,
For peace and heaven on earth,
He places within a longing
That all might in Him end their search.
Come and receive the gift of Christ within,
the love of Jesus calls each one to him.
All that we need He willingly supplies,
He knows our every thought and heeds our cries.
As we receive His love which satisfies,
it flows through us to all who are close by.
Wonder and awe that such a Lord is ours,
we pray His will be done throughout the world.
Come and receive the joy of Christ within,
the love of Jesus calls each one to him.
Christmas.
As empty of self as a babe can be
clothed in sweet simplicity.
Trusting in loving arms of another,
accepting all as friend and brother.
Giving himself
without thought of return
whether accepted, rejected or spurned.
God’s love
given freely come what may
to all humanity on Christmas day.
