As sisters and brothers
we live far apart
that is in distance
not in our hearts.
We come together
occasionally it’s true,
it’s as if the sun shines
the sky always blue.
Swiftly the time flies
the parting comes,
we return once more
to where we had begun.
But whether together
or far apart,
there is no separation
within our hearts.
For we are held
in the heart of God,
who is true,
who upholds and restores us
when sad or feeling blue.
With God at our side
leading the way,
we need have no fear
to face each new day.
