In the silent darkness of night He came
within a tiny baby’s frame.
Placing Himself in humanity’s care
their very joy and sorrow to share.
No room was found for Him at the inn
but cast outside, midst all the din,
Noise and turmoil we have on earth,
that was the place of this baby’s birth.
Travellers, far and wide they came
seeking more than they could name.
Close at hand none could see
the wonder of His majesty.
A little village or Bethlehem town
the very same truth is always found.
Love is the answer, hope the key,
trusting, believing, the babe is me.
