To whom they can belong,
To know the joy of sharing
Creates in life, the song,
Whenever we need someone
To laugh with, or to cry,
We turn to those held dearest
With whom we’re never shy.
Only those who know us
Can share our secrets deep.
Only those who love us
Within the veil can peep.
But in this world around us
There is One greater still,
Whose loving care enfolds us,
Which no-one else can kill.
Each thought or need unspoken
Is known by Him who cares,
Each deed or action taken
In all of these He shares.
Throughout our lives He gathers
The threads along the way,
A constant true companion
